Are you a graduate student, postdoctoral researcher, or early career scientist interested in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning?
The Environmental Molecular Sciences Laboratory (EMSL) is accepting applications through April 10 for an exclusive learning opportunity in AI and machine learning through agent-based science at the 2025 EMSL Summer School (July 7-11) at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.

The 2025 EMSL Summer School: From Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to Agent-Based Science will introduce the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), large language models (LLMs), and the use of LLMs to create semi-autonomous software agents. The course will also highlight how AI-based agents enable better utilization of emerging laboratory automation capabilities.
The deadline for student applications is 11:59 p.m. Pacific daylight time on April 10, 2025.
Through this competitively selected student program, EMSL will pay for student airfare, lodging, and transportation to-and-from the hotel and campus. Meals and other incidentals are not included.
