Each year, the Awards of Excellence recognize the people whose work moves our University forward. For staff in every role — highly visible or behind the scenes — this is our chance to lift up colleagues and teams whose leadership, service and innovation make a real difference.
Among the awards open to staff, I’m proud to serve as executive sponsor for two in particular:
- Distinguished Staff Award — honoring individuals and teams whose achievements advance our mission in the categories of collaboration, innovation, impact, inclusion and career achievement.
- David B. Thorud Leadership Award — celebrating outstanding leadership among faculty and staff, demonstrated through innovation, practical solutions to complex problems, championing equity, teamwork and excellent listening.
Being recognized by colleagues matters. It says, “I see the impact you’re making, and it elevates all of us.” If someone’s work has inspired you or strengthened your team, please consider submitting a nomination.
