Theme: How does your graduate research demonstrate impact for the public good?
Are you a UW graduate student in the final stages of your capstone, thesis, or dissertation project? Apply to compete in the 2026 UW Three Minute Thesis (UW 3MT®), where you’ll have the opportunity to win cash prizes. The competition is open to all eligible graduate students from across the UW tri-campus.
Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research communication competition originally developed by the University of Queensland, Australia.

– April 22 (1 pm – 3:30 pm, Pacific time): Virtual preliminary round
– May 21 (4 pm – 6 pm): Selected presenters compete in-person, Seattle campus
