Dear Faculty,
I am pleased to share that applications are now open for the UW ECE Entrepreneurial Fellows Program, an initiative made possible through royalties generated from UW ECE innovations.
This program is designed to empower current UW ECE doctoral students or postdoctoral scholar researchers ready to translate their innovations into real-world impact. Fellows receive one year of full support to accelerate the translation of their work through prototyping, customer discovery, and market analysis. In addition, the program provides:
- Mentorship from UW ECE’s network of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and technical experts
- Funding for travel and project-related expenses
- Support for the Fellow’s principal investigator
- Access to resources that help bridge the gap from research to commercialization
More details are available here:

Please share this opportunity with eligible candidates in your groups and networks. Applications are due March 31, 2026, and the initial application process is intentionally simple.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me (chair@uw.ece.edu) or Rebecca Carlson (carlsr2@uw.edu), who is managing the program.
