Hello ECE Graduate Students and Recent Graduates,

The UW Commencement and ECE Graduation Celebration are just a few months away. We’ve created a webpage with details about the ECE’s Graduation Celebration, along with information on registering for UW Commencement and ordering your regalia (cap, gown, and hood). Please review the information below for key dates and next steps.

 

ECE Graduation Celebration

Date & Time: Wednesday, June 10, 7:00–9:00 p.m. (PT). (Student arrival 6:15 p.m. – for check-in and lineup)

Location: UW HEC Edmundson Pavilion

Dress code: UW graduation regalia or semi-formal attire
Guest tickets: There is no limit on the number of guests you may bring.

Eligibility:
Students who graduated in Autumn 2025 or expect to graduate in Winter 2026, Spring 2026, or Summer 2026 are eligible to participate. Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 graduates, check the information below to make sure you meet all graduation celebration requirements and deadlines.

Registration:
ECE Graduation Celebration Registration will be open March 11 – May 7.
Please complete the registration form even if you only plan to attend the ECE ceremony, so you are able to order your regalia (cap/gown/hood).

  • Program name:
    Your name on file with UW will be used in the printed program unless you request a change. You can choose to use your preferred (chosen) name or opt not to be listed.

 

UW Commencement (University Ceremony)
Date & Time: Saturday, June 13, 1:30 p.m. (doors open 12:30 p.m.)
Location: Husky Stadium

Eligibility:
Students who graduated in Summer 2025, Autumn 2025, Winter 2026, or expect to graduate in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026.

UW Commencement Program:

  • Spring 2026 graduates: Submit your Master’s Degree request or schedule/apply for your Doctoral Final Exam/ Defense by April 17, 2026 to have your name printed in the UW Commencement program.

  • Summer 2026 graduates: Your name will appear in the 2027 UW Commencement program.

Registration:
UW Commencement Registration will open mid-May (deadline TBD). Check the UW Commencement website for updates.

Important: You must register separately for both the UW Commencement and the ECE Graduation Celebration, even if you only plan to attend the ECE ceremony, in order to order your regalia (cap/gown/hood). 

 

Grad Fair
Dates: April 8–9, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: University Book Store (4326 University Way NE)

Spring & Summer 2026 Graduates — Additional Steps

If you plan to participate in the ceremonies:

Key deadlines
• April 17: Deadline to apply to graduate to appear in the UW Commencement program
• May 7: Deadline to apply to graduate to appear in the ECE Graduation Celebration program

To meet Spring deadlines:

MS Students
• Submit your Master’s Degree request

PhD Students
• Schedule your Doctoral Final Exam/ Defense

PhD and MS Thesis Students
• You can change the date/time/location later, but enter your best guess now

Summer 2026 Graduates:
Since you cannot apply to graduate until summer quarter, please complete this form to make sure you are included in the ECE celebration program:
